SRK in Dhoom 3
Shah Rukh Khan, the favorite superstar of Yashraj Films and its head honcho Aditya Chopra, has given his consent to feature in upcoming mega- budget flick ‘Dhoom 3’ to be directed by none other than Aditya himself.
Hrithik Roshan, who had taken the ‘Dhoom 2’ to another level with Aishwarya Rai under the able direction of Sanjay Gadhvi, is said to be studying the minute details of his characterization in the upcoming flick before giving his consent. The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that after Shah Rukh Khan gave his consent, it’s only a matter of time before Hrithik Roshan gives his nod for the flick.
Whenever it comes, Aditya Chopra directing the flick will be confirmed, as the reclusive director is said to have put forth the condition that he will helm the multi- crore project only if his chosen superstars agree to enact the roles he has in mind for them in the flick.
Sources close to Yashraj say that Shah Rukh Khan has always been favorite of Aditya Chopra and his all movies had him playing the pivotal roles in them. Starting with ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ to ‘Mohabbatein’ and ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, Shah Rukh Khan has been a constant factor in Aditya’s directorial ventures.
However, this time Shah Rukh Khan’s character is going to be negative, unlike in other Aditya Chopra’s flicks, wherein he played the main do-gooder hero and finally went home with the heroine. It was due to this factor that there was an air of suspense about his accepting the offer. However, Aditya’s friendship with Shah Rukh proved too strong a bond for him to refuse this role

GOVT. Approaches SRK for Anti – Child Labour Campaign
Maharashtra Government has approached superstar Shah Rukh Khan for its anti-child labour campaign, a senior minister said.
"We have approached SRK for the same and are awaiting a word from him," Labour Minister Nawab Malik told reporters at Mantralaya here today.
There is a budget of Rs 1 Crore for an advertisement campaign for eradication of child labour in the state, the minister said.
Noted adman Prahlad Kakkar has agreed to make the advertisement, Malik said.

KINGSRK’s TRIBUTE TO KING OF POP
Michael Jackson has influenced Bollywood for decades now. From his signature moves to his singing, he has inspired everyone from musicians to technicians.
Now, Bollywood unites to pay a heartfelt tribute to the King of Pop in a video, which will be aired on Michael Jackson’s birthday on August 29. The initiative has been taken by Shah Rukh Khan himself.
Vishal Dadlani confirmed the story and said, “The song is titled, We lived in his world.”
Our source said, “Shah Rukh Khan is a huge fan of the late Michael Jackson and when the creative heads in Red Chilles pitched the idea, he loved it. He had cried when he learnt about MJ’s death. He was also supposed to attend one of the London concerts which never happened. So, the idea was finalised and they decided to make a music video as a tribute. The best talent for the song was Vishal of the Vishal-Shekhar duo. Vishal is a huge fan too and he was in shock for days when he learnt about MJ’s death.
He has written this passionate song and it has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar. They are also the performers in the video with singers Kay Kay, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Goshal, among others. The video will have heartfelt messages by top stars like SRK, Hrithik Roshan, Prabhu Deva, Shahid Kapoor, Harman Baweja, Yuvraj Singh, Katrina Kaif, Kangna Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra, among others. The video, currently being shot, is directed by Samar Khan.”
My source further said, “None of the people associated with the video has charged a penny and it’s their love for the legendary singer that has brought them together. It’s been shot in low lighting and has a unique mood. The video will be aired on all the leading channels on August 29, MJ’s birthday. The song has been choreographed by Remo.”

SRK’s Detention has SHOCKED Bollywood
Global superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s two-hour detention at Newark airport in the US over his surname (KHAN) had members of the Indian film industry fuming. Karan Johar was “shocked”, actress Priyanka said it was “downright disgraceful” and filmmaker Kabir Khan termed it “harassment”.
The 43-year-old actor was detained while he was on his way to Chicago to attend an event related to India’s Independence Day and was freed only after Indian diplomats intervened.
Here’s what King Khan’s friends and colleagues had to say:
Karan Johar: I am shocked and upset…feeling terrible for Shah Rukh.
Priyanka Chopra: Shocking, disturbing and downright disgraceful. It’s such behaviour that fuels hatred and racism. Shah Rukh Khan is a world figure for god’s sake. Get real!
Kabir Khan: When I heard this news, I was so surprised…it has almost become a routine…if you have a Muslim name you are bound to be questioned. It happened with me thrice in the US… I was stopped by immigration officials for three to five hours… they don’t care whether you are a celebrity or whoever.
But when it comes to Shah Rukh, it doesn’t take more than 20 seconds to figure out who he is…. Any search engine (on the Internet) will give more information on him than Hollywood stars Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt and despite that if it took them two hours to figure out, then its harassment.
Post 9/11 it is prejudice to have a person’s name and religion checked and it is very discouraging as well.
Pritish Nandy: This is the problem with law enforcers worldwide…Truly obnoxious. Cops don’t want to recognise anybody. They love to show their power and authority, especially in the US.
Kunal Kohli: It’s really disgusting. Even if they had done a Google search on their mobiles, they would have seen who he is. What were they checking for two hours on their super computers? To detain him for two hours is ridiculous, disgusting and an insult to us Indians.
Arindam Chaudhari: Shah Rukh has just finished his film “My Name Is Khan” in which his character tries to prove to the Americans that he is not a terrorist. I’m sure he never thought it would happen in real life too…What a shame! It’s shocking and shameful because I am sure Shah Rukh would have had to explain who he is.
It’s Shah Rukh so it’s become big news. But there many who constantly go through this everyday. It’s really sad.

SRK Detained for two hours at Newark Airport
Superstar Shahrukh Khan was detained for about two hours early Saturday morning (around 1am IST) at Newark airport in the US because his surname (KHAN) featured on the most common list. The actor, who is visiting the US to attend a South Asian event where he was the guest of honour was released after Congress MP Rajiv Shukla spoke to the authorities in the US and the Indian counsulate.
The actor was detained after his name flashed on the computer. He was asked several questions about the purpose of his visit. His hand baggage was checked. He was not allowed to even make a phone call for nearly an hour.
SRK said: "I told them I was a movie star and had recently visited the country for the shooting of my film. Nothing seemed to convince the immigration officer. There were other immigration officers who even vouched for me but this particular officer did not listen to anyone. I even told them I had an invitation from the South Asian community and was there to attend an event.’’ Shahrukh is to return to India on August 18.

Katrina Signs a YRF Film with SRK
Believe it or not but Katrina has reportedly gone ahead to the extent of signing a film by Yash Raj banner with none other than Shah Rukh Khan.
According to the latest buzz, YRF has roped in Kat and SRK for their film to be directed either by Aditya Chopra or Kabir Khan.
According to my source, “Katrina definitely has it going for her. SRK, on the other hand, has remained in the safe zone — as far as heroines are concerned — for a long time. Be it Rani Mukerji or Preity Zinta, he has stuck to his regulars and has worked with them repeatedly. He needs to be a tad more adventurous about his co-stars, and that’s where Katrina comes into the picture.”
The film, which will hit the floors early next year, has been in the pipeline for a long time.

SRK Aims For OSCAR
Shahrukh Khan is ready to conquer the world with the movie My Name Is Khan.
King Khan was talking in a recent press conference thrown to announce the MNIK distribution deal with the Fox Star Studios. He is co-producing the film along with director and friend Karan Johar. The actor was asked whether he expects to win an Oscar since the last Indian film Fox distributed – Slumdog Millionaire swept the board at the Oscars. SRK answered with his usual wit, “My Oscars should have come 10 years back. I have written a letter to them asking why the delay.”
Fox has bought the distribution deal for a reported amount of Rs 98 crore, and that’s humungous for any Bollywood film till date. However, Shahrukh and Karan aren’t confirming or denying the figure. The president of international productions, Fox, said that the company selected ‘My Name Is Khan’ because it was “especially unique”.
In ‘My Name Is Khan’, Shahrukh plays Rizwan Khan who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome. With this film once again we can see the ebullient, evergreen pair of Bollywood, SRK and Kajol, together after almost eight years. The film is about love, relationships and also about Islam and Western culture.
The movie will apparently release by early 2010 and Shahrukh will be one step closer to conquering the world.
